Just got off the phone with my mom. We really haven’t spoken since the last time I called Last Wednesday and they have house guests so they have been busy. But she just informed me that the lawyer that is going to do their taxes for the coming year has already informed them that they will more than likely have to pay the IRS 40,000 + because of the forgiveness debt that the bank did for the short sell of the house.
And it was said with a tone and some implied guilt. Now don’t get me wrong. THIS totally sucks for them. I get that. But how I ask you is this my fault? and BTW I warned them that they would have to pay the IRS for whatever the bank “forgave” them, but no don’t listen to your daughter or think that she knows anything! Um… Did you miss that whole conversation?
Now I am going to go wash the day off my sweaty crossfit body, and watch some Harry or maybe fall into a book.
